With an SOS message, the user can tell other users of the application as well as the security service that they need help. The SOS message contains the sender's GPS location. The application is only distributed in Finland. Why does your app need access to location in the background? In order to work properly with the security service, the SOS message feature of the application needs constant positioning. The application also needs access to location information in the background so that the security service can deliver assistance to the right place even when the application is not active. The application sends continuous location information only to the security service.
