Pinery: Book Writing App

Pinery is one Mac app for the whole book. You write it, design it, preview it, and export a file the stores accept. There is no handoff between four different tools and no step where you export something and hope the next program reads it correctly.

Prose is the part that does the work you would otherwise pay someone for. It has already read your book, so it edits like an editor instead of guessing like a chat window. Every change it proposes arrives as a tracked change you accept or reject, one at a time or in bulk. You are the author. Prose does the editor's job.

• Illustrate a scene. Artwork that fits the book, saved straight to your assets.
• Ask your manuscript anything. Search and summarize across every chapter in plain language.
• Run skills. /beta-reader, /line-edit, /developmental-edit, /brainstorm, or write your own.

WRITE

• A fast, quiet editor that stays out of the way, and stays fast in a 120,000 word manuscript.
• Live preview, so you see the formatted book as you type.
• Import .docx, plain text or Markdown and pick up where you left off.
• Plain text Markdown underneath, if you want it. Ignore it if you don't.

DESIGN

• Set type, spacing, color and margins across the whole book at once. This is the typesetting step authors normally pay for.
• Real pagination, and a Kindle style e-ink preview to check the book before anyone else sees it.
• Save a design as a theme and reuse it on the next title.

EXPORT

• ePub 3 for Apple Books, Amazon KDP and Kobo.
• PDF, for a digital edition you can share or sell.
• Clean HTML, if you want the book as a website.

• We do not train on your book. Not now, not later, not for anyone else.
• Your work sits on your Mac as plain text files you can open anywhere, with or without Pinery.
• Keep it local or sync it with iCloud. Either way it is yours.
