A heartbeat to hold onto.
The Bapum method supports the regulation of your nervous system and your emotions through a gentle physical heartbeat. The heartbeat is felt on the skin, so it needs no screen, no sound and no attention.
We help ease anxiety, a scattered mind and restless nights.
No screens. No noise. Just calm.

TESTIMONIALS
"I generally struggle with a lot of anxiety, unfortunately, and when a situation comes up, the techniques I've learned are hard to recall. This weekend I used Bapum for the first time 'for real', and within a few minutes it calmed me down so much that I actually dozed off a little."
"I had a blood draw this morning, which I unfortunately handle badly... On the way to the clinic and while waiting, the phone buzzed in my hand almost the whole time in Bapum's rhythm, and I felt I really was calmer than on previous occasions."
"I really like Bapum! Its main psychological effect is that it supports you, it guides you toward taking care of yourself. It brings you into the present... This doesn't take you outward, it turns you inward."
MECHANISM
Our nervous system primarily responds to rhythms. Bapum uses the power of tactile (touch-based) entrainment, meaning it sends a direct signal to your nervous system through the gentle physical pulse felt on your skin that it is time to slow down. This is the process of co-regulation, during which your body is able to adopt an external, stable physical pulse and align its own functioning with it.
EFFECT
Overall, the rhythm mirroring a heartbeat activates the vagus nerve responsible for calm, helping the body return to its natural state of rest.
SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND
The Bapum method is based on tactile entrainment and co-regulation. Controlled studies indicate that a slow, heartbeat-like tactile stimulus can reduce the measured physiological stress response and the feeling of anxiety in acute stress. For this purpose, touch is a faster and less disruptive channel than sound or vision.
These studies were conducted with other devices, not with Bapum. They support the principle behind the method, not Bapum's own effectiveness.
SITUATIONS
Anxiety – When your thoughts race and you need an immediate physical anchor to calm down. The heartbeat helps bring your attention back from the spinning internal movie to the present moment and your body.
Scattered mind – When you find it hard to focus on a single task or your thoughts have scattered. The monotonous, constant stimulus helps provide a low-stimulus but stable point for your brain, one you can return to anytime during work or study.
Restless nights – When your mind is racing before sleep and you cannot find peace. The slow, steady pulsing provides an anchor for falling asleep and helps your body switch to rest mode.
PRACTICES
Hand – Hold it in your palm and focus on the physical pulse. This is the most direct way for grounding and quick relief.
Chest – While lying down, place it on your chest so your body can directly absorb the physical pulse. It helps slow down your breathing and reach deep relaxation.
Pocket – Slip it into your pocket for calming on the go or among people. The physical pulse provides an invisible sense of security in everyday situations.
Mattress – Place it next to you on the bed, so the mattress carries the pulse to your body and helps you tune into sleep and rest.
SAFETY
Bapum is not a medical device but a well-being method.
Medical condition – Please consult your doctor before use if you have a pacemaker or heart disease, live with epilepsy, or take psychiatric medicine.
Personal sensitivity – If the pulse at any point causes discomfort, dizziness or increased anxiety, stop using it immediately.
