Hazelight

From the App Store Source

Turn the real world into your canvas. Hazelight maps your own video onto the things around you, so a window fills with rain, a painting opens its eyes and a sculpture glows from within. Point a projector at something real. Outline it. Add your video. Project. That's it. Made for artists, galleries and school art departments, Hazelight brings projection mapping to iPhone and iPad. No complicated software, no computer and no account. FOR GALLERIES AND EXHIBITIONS • Light a sculpture, a canvas or a whole wall, and line it up on site in minutes • Test patterns, a grid and on-wall placement guides make alignment quick • Mirror the picture for rear projection, or turn it for a ceiling-mounted projector • Record exactly what the projector shows, to share the installation or keep a record of the show FOR ARTISTS AND CREATIVES • Trace any shape: rectangles, circles, freeform outlines, smooth curves, or freehand with Apple Pencil • Place every point precisely with the magnifier, snap to guides and warp video in perspective to fit the surface • Layer videos, photos and animated GIFs with Normal, Multiply, Screen and Add blends • Bring in your own work from Photos or Files, or start with ready-made clips: rain, rolling water, embers, starfields and blinking eyes FOR SCHOOL ART DEPARTMENTS • Students see results in minutes: outline a shape, add a clip, press Play • Made for exhibitions, open days, school productions and set design • No sign-ups, no tracking and nothing leaves the device, so it is simple to bring into the classroom • Explore the sample project without a projector: the full preview plays on screen LIVE EFFECTS THAT REACT TO YOUR ART Draw a line and let rain, falling leaves, smoke, bubbles, embers, sparks, bouncing balls or wind pour from it. Add a collider and the effects respond to the real objects: rain splashes off a picture frame, and wind curls round a vase. TRACE FROM A PHOTO Take a reference photo of the wall and trace over it, or let Hazelight suggest outlines of the objects it finds. Suggestions are made on your device. PROJECTS THAT TRAVEL • Every change saves automatically, with undo and redo • Every video plays in sync across all your surfaces • Share a whole project, videos included, as a single Hazelight file to set it up on another iPhone or iPad WHAT YOU NEED An iPhone or iPad, and a projector or external display connected with an HDMI adapter. AirPlay to a separate display can work too. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking. Your projects and media stay on your device. Bring your world to light.
