ClipRoom is a different kind of video editor. Instead of starting with a timeline, in ClipRoom you start with meaning.

Upload your existing footage into your library (your "ClipRoom", get it?) and we will process it, converting audio into captions and analyzing the content to make your video searchable by concept.

Then it's up to you: Search your footage like text. Find the moments you're looking for instantly, highlight what matters, and turn those ideas into an edit. Our "Selects" drawer allows you to curate clips across a variety of your back catalog of videos, collating it together into one collection.

You’re not scrubbing through clips trying to remember where something happened, you're working directly with the content of what was said and shown. We present the clips as text that you can highlight to further segment your selects into moments. 

From there, your edit takes shape naturally. We modeled the next step after real-world storyboarding with index cards. We put scenes on cards and allow you to move them around until you're happy with the story structure. We even have sample outlines to help you whether you're building shorts for Instagram or YouTube, or longer form explainer videos for your corporate channel.

With ClipRoom's unique search and refine tools you can move quickly from idea to draft, then refine as much as you want. It runs on your machine so there's no subscription or limit to hamper your creative process.

ClipRoom isn’t just a concept--it's a full editor. Once your edit is in place, you can work with clips in a timeline when you need precision: trimming, adjusting timing, layering tracks, and shaping the final result exactly how you want it.

We support multi-track editing, transitions, fades, titles, captions and subtitles styling, audio and video imports, and color adjustments. You can record reaction footage directly inside your project, follow subjects with automatic camera framing, and fine-tune every detail of your edit.

We built ClipRoom to be the missing tool we wanted as video editors. We wanted a tool to let us start by organizing meaning from our footage, but finish with professional control.

We may model our workflow using our experience as storytellers with paper cards and physical clips of film, but ClipRoom is a 100% modern video editing tool. ClipRoom uses modern AI models to power search, captions, and editing--but without the usual friction.

There are no credits to manage and no limits to hit. Core features run locally on your machine, so you can generate captions, search your footage, and work freely without thinking about usage.

If you want more, you can connect your own AI accounts, like ChatGPT, and bring that capability directly into your editing workflow. ClipRoom works out of the box, but expands if you need it to.

ClipRoom came out of our own workflow. We wanted a way to move faster from raw footage to something meaningful without getting stuck in the mechanics of editing.
