Foupzi Door Scanner is the staff-side companion app for any event running on the Foupzi Odoo platform. Pair the device once with a QR code from your event admin, then check guests in at the door in under a second per ticket. KEY FEATURES • Lightning-fast QR scanning — point the camera at a ticket, the camera reads it before your finger reaches the button. Works on torn, glossy, or screen-displayed tickets. • Works offline at the door — recent attendees and tickets are cached on-device, so a momentary wifi blip never blocks the line. • Group check-in — if a family of four buys together, scan one ticket and the app offers to admit the whole group with a single tap. • Permission-gated UI — every device has its own role: scan-only for student volunteers, full access for event managers. Permissions are set from your Odoo backend and pushed to the app live. • VIP and guest lists — show the VIP table or filtered guest categories on a dedicated tab, separate from the regular attendee list. • Search & manual check-in — for the rare ticket that won't scan, search by name, email, phone, or ticket number and tap to admit. • Per-event checklist — give each device its own pre-event task list (battery check, count cash drawer, brief team) right in the app. • Volunteer-friendly onboarding — Welcome → Connect to Odoo → Name the device → Done. New staff are productive in 30 seconds. • Light and dark themes, large readable type, designed for dim venue lighting. • Apple Wallet and Google Wallet support on the customer side — passes update live when you check someone in or change their seat. HOW IT WORKS 1. Your Odoo admin opens Door Scanner → Devices → New Device and shows the pairing QR on their screen. 2. You install Foupzi Door Scanner, tap Connect to Odoo, and scan the QR. 3. You're paired — the device shows the events it's assigned to, with the permissions the admin chose.
