Photo Batch Resize is a native Mac app for shrinking many photos to the same rules in one step — max longest edge, max width, max height, or fit inside a box. Perfect before email, websites, client uploads, or social posts when your camera files are too large. How it works • Add photos — Drop images into the library or use Add Photos. Files stay in their original location on your Mac. • See dimensions — The sidebar summarizes width and height across your library (min, max, average) so you know what you’re working with. • Set resize rules — Choose a mode and limit (e.g. longest edge 2048 px). The app shows how many photos will resize vs already fit. • Export — Pick a folder and click Generate. Resized copies are saved with a _resized suffix. Originals are never modified. Resize modes • Longest edge — Scale down if the longest side exceeds your limit (keeps aspect ratio) • Max width — Cap horizontal size • Max height — Cap vertical size • Fit inside box — Scale down to fit within max width × height Photos are never upscaled unless you choose otherwise in a future update.
