TabSlot

Tab Slot turns specially marked links into reusable Safari tabs. Open a slot link once to create the tab, then open the same slot again to return to it instead of leaving another duplicate behind.

It is designed for launcher shortcuts, bookmarks, scripts, and automation tools. A docs slot can keep pointing to the same Safari tab while you browse from an index into a guide. A search slot can return to the results you are already using. A dashboard slot can preserve the filters and drill-down state in your existing tab.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Open a marked URL such as https://example.com/docs###docs
2. Tab Slot removes the marker and opens the clean URL.
3. The extension saves the slot name, Safari tab ID, and initial URL locally.
4. Opening the same slot again focuses the saved tab.
5. If that tab has been closed, the new tab becomes the saved slot.

The toolbar icon shows a status dot when the current tab is a saved slot. The popup lists saved slots and lets you forget a binding without closing the browser tab.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Tab Slot has no account, analytics, advertising, remote service, host permissions, or content scripts. It does not read page content. Slot metadata stays in Safari's local extension storage and is not uploaded, sold, or shared.

Tab Slot also works with links produced by SpaceLauncher and with any other launcher, bookmark, or script that can open a URL.
