Word Lock Slider is a game about the space between two words. Two words appear: COLD and FIRE. They sit at opposite ends of the screen, each meaning only itself. A slider sits below them. Drag it right and the words begin to drift toward each other. As they approach, the gap between them starts to glow — a blended light, neither blue nor amber, something between. After the slider rests, the AI reads what exists at that precise overlap and reports back with a richness score and a ghost phrase: the concept that lives at this intersection and no other. At fifteen percent, the words are still too far apart. Nothing interesting has formed yet. At ninety percent, they have collapsed into each other — the tension has resolved and meaning has turned to noise. Somewhere between thirty-five and sixty-five percent, the interesting thing happens. The exact position varies by pair. COLD and FIRE peak near forty-eight percent. STRANGER and HOME peak closer to thirty-eight — asymmetric, because the approach from stranger toward home is richer than the approach from home toward stranger. SILENCE and WORD peak at thirty-three, almost touching silence's edge, because the interesting question is how much word intrudes before silence is no longer silence. A waveform builds below the slider as the player explores. Each position visited adds a bar — low richness in blue, higher richness in green and amber and gold. The waveform is the map of the semantic landscape between the two words. Players who explore before locking see the terrain. Players who lock immediately see only a single point.
