Madeira Military Museum

MISSION
The Madeira Military Museum (MusMil Madeira) promotes the preservation, enrichment, and exhibition of the historical-military heritage under its responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Study and research cultural heritage within the military-historical field.
* Incorporate, inventory, and document cultural assets in the museum’s collection.
* Promote public access to cultural assets incorporated or deposited in the museum.
* Systematically develop cultural mediation programs and educational activities that contribute to access to cultural heritage and cultural expressions.
* Promote cultural values linked to military history.
* Preserve and restore the heritage under its responsibility.
* Participate in events of military-historical interest or with relevant historical-cultural significance.
* Promote the creation of friends’ associations, specialized interest groups, volunteer initiatives, or other forms of systematic collaboration with the community and the public.
