FSRA benefits easy debit card. Is a pain for medical care.

The debit card is useful for prescription and qualified purchases. However is a poor system for major medical expenses. Claims are denied until submit an itemized receipt of all the individual expenses. A receipt of just the total amount is insufficient. Was incomplete. So I had to spend several hours on the medical provider portal to find an itemized list for the date of service. NetBenefits doesn’t say why the submission was incomplete. I have major medical expenses quarterly cancer treatment followup. It was so much easier last year with Optum. The medical expenses automatically showed up the pending expenses. Then as I just had to reimburse myself since already paid.

FSRA benefits easy debit card. They deny medical expenses.

The debit card is useful for prescription and qualified purchases. However is a poor system for medical expenses. I set aside 3,300 mostly medical expenses for post cancer suppressant expenses. They want to have every expense itemized on a receipt for each visit. Is absurd. I had Optum last year no problems with MRI, heart ultrasound, 28 radiation treatments, quarterly injections that cost 4K each. Fortunately this is my last year with CapitalOne. I will not take a job with another company that uses NetBenefits for FSRA. Is a ripoff for employees as I’ll likely lose 2,000 at year end. Nice.
