Most meditation apps play sounds and guide your breathing.
Kynero does something different.
It combines stroboscopic light patterns and binaural beats in
a single session, with both frequencies calibrated to complement
each other. The two techniques are matched to reinforce the same
target brainwave state rather than working independently. Based on
our research, no other app brings these two methods together in
this way.
HOW IT WORKS
Stroboscopic light entrainment uses your iPhone flashlight to
pulse at specific frequencies. Rhythmic light stimulation has been
studied for decades as a method for influencing brainwave activity.
Kynero uses this to guide your brain toward alpha, theta or delta
states depending on your goal.
Binaural beats work by playing a slightly different tone in each
ear. Your brain perceives the difference as a single pulse, which
nudges brainwave activity toward a target frequency. The effect is
well documented and works best with headphones.
Both techniques are calibrated to the same target frequency per
session, so they reinforce each other rather than pulling in
different directions.
WHAT YOU CAN USE IT FOR
Focus - alpha and beta frequencies for concentration and flow
Stress relief - theta frequencies to slow the mind and reduce anxiety
Sleep preparation - delta induction to help you wind down faster
Deep meditation - combined entrainment for states that are
difficult to reach through breathing techniques alone
NSDR (Non-Sleep Deep Rest) - a short protocol for restoring
mental energy without caffeine or sleep
GETTING STARTED
Put headphones on, pick a session, allow flashlight access when
prompted and close your eyes. Most first-timers notice something
different from the very first session.
