Redliner

Redliner is a native macOS drafting environment for lawyers who treat their documents the way an architect treats a set of plans — as something that should be precise, reviewable, and version-controlled by default.

The interface is three columns. An outline of the document on the left. The source you actually edit in the middle. A fully rendered preview on the right. The preview is not a sketch. It is the document, typeset in real time, ready to send.

Versioning is built in. Every saved version of a document is preserved inside the document file itself. There is no separate folder of "Agreement_v3_FINAL_REVISED.docx" copies on your desktop. The history lives inside the work.

There is no upload step. Your documents never leave your Mac. There is no server, no telemetry, no account, and no cloud sync that you didn't ask for. Redliner is the rare modern app whose privacy policy fits in a sentence: nothing leaves the machine.

Redliner is built and maintained in New York by Javaad Ali, Esq., a practicing securities lawyer. It is built by someone who has to send the document at the end of the day, for other people who have to send the document at the end of the day. Bug reports and feature requests are read and answered personally.

Redliner is also sold the way software used to be sold. You pay once. You own your copy. There is no monthly bill, no expiring license, no consideration owed every thirty days for a thing you already paid for. The price is the price.
