I built Viewer Toolbox because I kept losing track of my own apps. I make a suite of lightweight macOS viewers, one for each file type, and I needed a simple way to manage them all. So I built this little menu bar utility for myself, and figured others might find it useful too. Viewer Toolbox sits in your menu bar and gives you quick access to every viewer app in the collection. You can see what's installed, what's available, and whether any updates are ready. It also acts as the central hub for shared settings, change your font or switch to dark mode once, and every viewer picks it up. The viewer apps are small (3mb!), focused, and fast. Each one handles a single file format and does it well: Text, JSON, YAML, Markdown, CSV, 3D models, and more. No bloated multi-format app that tries to do everything. Just the right tool for the job.
