SL-Files

SL-Files is the offload tool for the DIT who cannot afford to lose a frame. Copy camera media from one card to two or three backup drives in a single read, verify every byte, and seal each transfer with a certificate you can hand to production.

BUILT AROUND 3-2-1
Pick a source card and up to three destinations. SL-Files reads the card once and fans the copy out to every drive at the same time — multiple backups, one pass, no extra wear on the media.

VERIFIED, NOT ASSUMED
Every file is checksummed on the way in and re-read byte-for-byte on the way out, past the macOS disk cache — so a failing card, reader or cable is caught, not trusted. Choose xxHash-64, MD5 or SHA-256. The progress bar runs red to green and only reaches green once every byte has been verified.

MANIFESTS POST CAN READ
Beside your footage, on every destination, SL-Files writes a classic MHL, an ASC MHL manifest with a tamper-evident chain (the ASC/MITC standard some studios now require), and a machine-readable JSON sidecar. Any tool that reads MHL can re-verify your backup later, with or without SL-Files.

A SEAL FOR EVERY TRANSFER
Each offload produces a seal certificate — the route, the payload, the operator, the machine, the checksum method and the full per-file manifest — that you can export as a PDF report and hand to post.

VERIFY ANY BACKUP
Point SL-Files at a backup made by any other tool and it re-checks every file against the drive's own MHL or ASC MHL manifest — no copy required. Verifying is free, forever.
