Film Buddy: Analog Suite

Film Buddy brings a light meter, a roll notebook, developing timers and sun planning to your iPhone.

Set your film ISO, choose aperture or shutter priority, and use average or spot metering. Hold a reading while you reframe, adjust exposure compensation, and calibrate the meter for your iPhone.

Buddy Log keeps your film stock, camera, lens, exposure settings and frame notes together. Choose the roll in your camera and save a frame directly from the meter. You can add your own cameras, lenses and film stocks too.

Develop helps you work through each stage of processing. Choose your process and chemistry, check the manufacturer's guide, and follow the timer and agitation cues. Use an included recipe or save your own steps, temperatures and notes.

Light shows sun times and direction for a place you choose, with suggestions for daylight, golden hour, blue hour and night. Save a place before you head out; sun calculations work offline.

The meter, included developing recipes and Light work without an account. A confirmed Film Buddy account keeps your Buddy Log and personal recipes private and lets them sync when connected. Notes and recipes save to your iPhone first.
