Why Leftovers exists:
Great food is being cooked all around us, but rarely shared.
At the same time, many people rely on expensive takeaway or ultra-processed meals.
Leftovers brings these closer together:
home cooks share what they’re already making, and neighbours enjoy a real meal from someone nearby.

Our story:
It started in a student building in Copenhagen.
Each evening, the hallway filled with the smell of home cooking — recipes from all over the world.
Yet many of us were still eating instant noodles or ordering takeaway.
Great food was just a few doors away.
There just wasn’t a way to share it.
So we built one.
Cook a little extra. Share it. A neighbour picks it up.

Community-led:
Leftovers is built on trust.
Neighbours review each other. Cooks follow local guidelines. Everyone takes responsibility for what they share and consume

Who can use Leftovers? Anyone in a participating building or community.
Is it delivery? No, meals are picked up in person.
What kind of food is available? Whatever your neighbours are cooking, from everyday meals to family recipes.
Do I need to cook? Not at all. You can share food, order food, or both.

Our vision:
We believe that by empowering home cooks, we can increase access to a more affordable, authentic, convenient and sustainable way of eating, while building community.
