LocalPoller brings live, interactive polling and quiz sessions to any classroom — with no internet connection required. Everything runs peer-to-peer over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, so it works in hospitals, lecture halls, conference rooms, and anywhere else a network isn't available or reliable.

QUIZ MODE
Broadcast multiple-choice questions to every participant's device simultaneously. Participants answer on their own screen, you reveal the correct answer and response distribution, then step through your own explanation slides — rich teaching content visible only to you for classroom display. A live leaderboard keeps the room competitive. Sessions are saved automatically for review later.
POLL MODE (Premium)
Gather anonymous live responses without scoring or correct answers. Ideal for gauging understanding before a lecture, collecting opinions, or running formative assessments without performance pressure. Full response distribution is saved to your Past Sessions.
GAME GRID MODE (Premium)
A team-based Jeopardy-style board game built for the classroom. Teams select questions from a grid by dollar value, buzz in to answer, and compete for the top score. Configurable board sizes (2×2 to 6×6), custom team names, and a simultaneous broadcast to every device make it the most engaging review session in your rotation.

LocalPoller uses Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework — the same technology behind AirDrop. Participants join with a QR code scan or a 4-digit session code. Nothing is sent to a server. No student data ever leaves the room.
SHARE QUESTION SETS (Premium)
Export any question set as a .lppdata file and share it via AirDrop to colleagues instantly. Receive sets the same way — a preview shows exactly what will be added before anything is imported.
SELF TEST (Premium)
Participants who join a quiz session automatically save the question set to their device for private self-study later. Questions are shuffled on every attempt. No connection required.
EXTERNAL DISPLAY SUPPORT
Connect an HDMI adapter or AirPlay display and a clean audience view appears automatically — showing the current question, timer, and answer reveal on a projector or conference room screen.
MAC SUPPORT
The full presenter experience runs natively on Mac via Mac Catalyst. Use keyboard shortcuts (← → Space) to navigate and reveal answers. Export session results as a CSV spreadsheet directly to Numbers or Excel.
IMPORT QUESTIONS FROM A FILE
Paste questions from Word, Pages, or plain text. The built-in parser recognises standard multiple-choice format instantly. Explanation slides with rich text and images can be authored directly in the app.
