FretLedger is the guitar tracker built for serious players, professional techs and collectors. Whether you own three guitars or three hundred, FretLedger gives you a complete record of every instrument — strings, setups, pickups, wiring, and photos — stored privately on your iPhone, never uploaded to any server.

YOUR COLLECTION, IN DETAIL
Add any stringed instrument — electric guitar, acoustic, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and more. Record make, model, year, serial number, body and neck wood, finish, country of origin, and purchase details. Attach a photo and set a tuning for each instrument.

STRING TRACKING
Log every string change with brand, gauge, and relief measurements at the 12th fret. Set a restring interval per guitar — in weeks or months — and FretLedger will highlight overdue strings in red on your list so nothing gets forgotten. Long-pressing any entry lets you edit it; a per-set override lets you adjust the interval at install time.

SERVICE HISTORY
Record every truss rod adjustment, fret level, pickup swap, full setup, and luthier visit. Select multiple service types per record, log labor and parts costs separately, and capture the settings you dialled in (relief, action heights, pickup heights). Save contact cards for the luthiers and techs you trust — name, phone, email, address, and website — and link them directly to service records.

PICKUP INVENTORY
Track every pickup on every guitar: make, model, position, magnet type, and DC resistance. Uninstall a pickup when you swap it out — it stays in your inventory so you can reinstall it on another guitar later. Installed pickups appear as a summary on the guitar's overview.

WIRING DOCUMENTATION
Choose from 30+ built-in wiring templates covering Stratocaster, Telecaster, Les Paul, Jimmy Page, Gretsch, P-Bass, Jazz Bass, and more — or build your own from scratch. Document every knob, switch, and push-pull pot: what it does, its pot value, and any coil-split or series/parallel behaviour. Acoustic instruments can be marked with no electronics.

PHOTOS
Add multiple photos to any guitar. Tap to view full-screen with pinch-to-zoom. Long-press to set any photo as the guitar's thumbnail. Photos are stored on your device only. Store photos for documentation purposes or just to keep your collection in your pocket.

BACKUP & RESTORE
Export your entire collection as a single .fretledger file and share it via AirDrop, Mail, or Files. Restore it on any device. Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account required. No subscription. No cloud service. Everything lives in SwiftData on your iPhone and optionally syncs via iCloud if you enable it.
