RepoLens is a powerful Safari extension that lets you explore dev profiles, repositories, and developer activity — all without leaving your browser. Search Any User Type any username to instantly view their complete profile. See their avatar, display name, bio, location, company, website, and social links including Twitter/X and email. Get a quick snapshot of their public repos, followers, following count, and gists — all in a beautifully designed popup panel. Explore Repositories Switch to the Repos tab to search millions of repositories by name, topic, or keyword. Each result shows the repository name, description, primary language, star count, fork count, and last updated date. Click any repository to open it directly in Safari. Compare Developers Side by Side Curious how two developers stack up? The Compare tab lets you enter two usernames and see a detailed breakdown. A comparison table highlights the leader in each category — repos, followers, following, and gists — with color-coded indicators. Full profile cards for both users appear below for deeper context. Contribution Activity Every profile includes a contribution heatmap showing the last 30 weeks of activity. Hover over any cell to see exact contribution counts by date. A total count summarizes the past year of activity at a glance. Export Profile Summaries Need to share a developer's profile? Click the export button to copy a complete Markdown summary to your clipboard. The export includes the user's name, bio, metadata, stats, and top repositories — ready to paste into documents, messages, or notes. Search History Your recent lookups are saved automatically and appear when you focus the search bar. Quickly revisit past profile and repository searches without retyping. Clear your history anytime with a single tap. Customizable API Access GitLookup works out of the box with no configuration required. For power users, the Settings panel lets you add a Personal Access Token to increase your API rate limit from 60 to 5,000 requests per hour. Token validation is built in — the extension verifies your token before saving it. Monitor Your API Usage A built-in rate limit monitor shows your current Core and Search API usage with color-coded progress bars. See exactly how many requests remain and when limits reset.
