MD Quick View adds polished Markdown previews to macOS Finder. Select any .md file and press Space — you get a beautiful rendered preview instantly, no app to open.

FEATURES

GitHub Flavored Markdown rendering — tables, task lists, strikethrough, and autolinks all render correctly.

YAML front matter table — if your Markdown file starts with a front matter block, MD Quick View extracts the fields and displays them as a clean metadata table above the content.

Two viewing modes — switch between rendered Preview and Raw source with a single click. Raw mode shows the original file exactly as it appears on disk, including front matter delimiters.

Light and dark mode — the preview follows your system appearance automatically.

Finder thumbnails — .md files get a custom thumbnail showing the document title, sourced from front matter, the first heading, or the filename.

PRIVACY

MD Quick View reads only the file you preview. No network access, no telemetry, no data collection of any kind.
