Marla is a calm, focused time tracker that lives entirely on your Mac. No account, no
cloud, no tracking, no network requests — every entry, project, and report stays on your
machine and only yours.
Track time the easy way
Hit Start, type what you're working on, and Marla counts up with a clear live timer.
Stop whenever you're done, or add and edit entries by hand with exact start and end
times. Forgot to stop? Marla notices long-running timers and checks in before they run
away.
Organize with clients and projects
Create clients and projects, give them colors, and watch your entries light up across
the app. Set an optional hourly rate per project — each with its own currency — and
Marla handles the totals for you.
See your week at a glance
A clean Day, Week, and Month calendar lays out your entries as colored blocks. Click any
block to edit it. Jump to today, flip between weeks, and always know where your time
went.
Reports that are actually useful
Pick a range — this week, this month, a custom span — and see totals grouped by client
and by project, with billable amounts where you've set rates. Export a clean CSV for
your spreadsheet, or generate a polished per-project work summary PDF to send the person
paying you: just the dates, the work, and the hours. No rates, no clutter.
Built for sharing a Mac
Multiple profiles live side by side on one computer — perfect for couples or partners.
Each profile has its own completely separate clients, projects, entries, and running
timer, with an optional PIN to keep things private. Switch between them anytime; timers
keep running independently.
Always within reach
A menu bar icon shows your running timer at a glance and lets you stop, resume a recent
task, or start a new one without opening the window.
