  Sporadically Showing Doorbell and Thermostat as Offline

  Not sure why but for the last week, the app struggles to connect to my doorbell and thermostat, claiming they’re offline. Sometimes completely closing the app and reloading it works but most times it does not. Right now it’s a crapshoot on whether or not I’ll be able to connect. Because of this, I’ve since hooked up my devices to an Apple HomeKit hub which has no issue connecting to the devices so I can control them remotely that way. I turned off my VPN to see if maybe that was it but didn’t fix it (and that never was an issue in the past). Will keep searching the web for fixes/workarounds.

  Frustrated customer, this use to be one of the best home assitant hubs.

  All of 2026, it’s been unable to answer basic questions or tasks that it had no problem doing prior. I use to rely on it as an assitant for routines and tasks throughout the day. I’ve checked online and there’s thousands of reports stating users are experiencing the same issue as. This is across Google home and nest devices. Google now almost always answers “sorry, I didn’t understand that”. The Google discussion surrounding this problem has been locked and resolved with “rebooting and reset your device”
