RealTake

RealTake is an anti-catfishing social app built around camera-only Live Photos. The core mechanic is that users can only capture content inside the app (no camera roll uploads) and content is time-limited, so interactions are based on real, in-the-moment activity. RealTake is feed-first (scroll and interact) and does not use swipe matching or a dating-style catalog UI.
In addition to the public feed, RealTake extends the same authenticity mechanic into private conversations: users can share camera-only Live Photos in Rooms and private chats/DMs, and these are also designed to be time-limited (1 hour) to encourage real-time interaction and reduce fake or recycled content.
Note: I do not have many users yet, so the feed may look sparse during review, but the intended experience is a populated feed with many users posting Live Photos (not just the reviewer).
Please test these key differentiators (very important):
1) Live Photos (core mechanic, anti-catfishing and time-limited)
From the main feed, open the Live Photos section.
Please create and upload at least 2 Live Photos to confirm posting works end-to-end and to see the feed with real content.
Live Photos are captured in-app only and are designed to last only 1 hour so content stays authentic and current.
Photo Moderation (anti-catfishing and safety):
All uploaded Live Photos are automatically screened using AWS Rekognition. We also use a lightweight AWK-based pipeline in our moderation tooling to parse and normalize results and route content into an approval queue. Approved items appear in the feed. Flagged items are held for review and are not shown publicly.
2) Rooms (community-first chat + Live Photos)
Open Rooms to view live, topic-based community chat rooms.
Enter a room and send a message to verify the community-first interaction flow.
Also, please try sending a camera-only Live Photo in a Room (these are time-limited to 1 hour).
3) Private Chats / DMs (Live Photos in 1:1 conversations)
Open a private chat/DM and send a message.
If available during review, please also try sending a camera-only Live Photo in a DM (these are time-limited to 1 hour).
4) Compare Photos (authenticity interaction from the feed)
From a feed post/card, open Compare Photos.
Compare photos and submit a reaction to confirm the authenticity interaction layer.
5) Quizzes (compatibility and icebreaker layer)
Open Quizzes.
Create a quiz or take a quiz to confirm the compatibility and icebreaker interaction.
Summary
RealTake is positioned as social discovery with authenticity-first design: camera-only Live Photos, time-limited content (including in Rooms and private chats), safety moderation, a feed-first experience, and community Rooms. It is not a swipe-based dating clone. The primary features intended for review are Live Photos, Rooms (including Live Photos), Private Chats/DMs (including Live Photos), Compare Photos, and Quizzes.
