Neurima is an experimental psychoacoustic audio player that applies sample-level timing desynchronization during playback. The app builds on research related to binaural beats, but uses a different method. Where Instead of adding audible frequency shifts, Neurima adjusts timing in a way intended to remain below conscious perception. Use Neurima with audio files (music, podcasts, audiobooks) already available on your device, or explore with included seed tracks and Sound Lab, a built-in tool for creating your own ambient source material. Features: • Play local audio files and eligible music available on device • Apply real-time psychoacoustic DSP during playback • Visualize music as it plays • Use included seed tracks if you do not have music on device • Create ambient source material with Sound Lab • Export Sound Lab creations as JSON or audio For best results, use stereo over-ear headphones or wired earbuds. Bluetooth headphones and earbuds can also work when both left and right channels are active. All processing happens on device and in memory during playback. Original files are never modified or written back to your library. Streaming-only and DRM-protected tracks are not supported. No account required. Research in this area is still early and exploratory. Neurima is intended for personal experimentation and general wellness exploration, not medical use.
