Waggl Bloom tells beekeepers what's blooming for their bees — right now and in the weeks ahead
Waggl Bloom tells beekeepers what's blooming for their bees — right now and in the weeks ahead.
It turns a century of botanical research into a simple, day-by-day forage forecast for your region: which plants are flowering, how much nectar and pollen they offer, and how that's trending. It works offline, and there's no account to create.
WHAT YOU GET
- Blooming Now — the plants in flower today for your area, ranked by nectar strength, with pollen colors at a glance.
- Nectar & Pollen forecasts — see how forage is trending across the window you choose.
- Bloom Calendar — each plant's typical bloom window across the whole year.
- Plant details — real photos, honey tasting notes, pollen color, sugar and protein figures, and toxic-to-bees warnings.
- Your region, your way — use your location, or pick your state and hardiness zone by hand.
- Light and dark mode. The full plant catalog works offline.
HOW IT WORKS
For your region, Waggl Bloom resolves which plants are present, models each one's bloom with a three-phase intensity curve (build-up, peak, taper), and weights it by how much nectar and pollen that plant yields per acre. When you're online, USA-NPN phenology data nudges the timing to your exact season.
Built on trusted sources: Pellett, Crane, Baude et al., FloRes, USDA NRCS PLANTS, and USA-NPN.
A NOTE ON ACCURACY
These are directional estimates to guide your beekeeping decisions — not guarantees. Confidence is strongest where the regional calendar is best curated, and the app shows you that rather than implying uniform precision.
