  Bad Functionality

  I purchased tickets to an event hosted on Eventbrite and I expected that I would just be issued tickets via email. The email I received required me to go to their website to access the tickets. Sure, fine so far. There’s no option to add tickets to Apple wallet or to simply get them sent to email, those tickets have to be viewed on their website. However, they offer this app as an option to view your tickets offline. Annoying, but whatever. So, I get the app. I open it. It asks me to sign in. I enter my email. Then it says it’s going to send me an email with a special link to set a password to verify my identity. Sure. That link takes me to my web browser - not the app - where there’s no option to create a password. Going back to the app to sign in again and it takes me through the same cycle. So, I can’t access my tickets because I can’t sign in and I can’t sign in because the option to sign in isn’t available. If you’re going to make a proprietary ticket app, you’ve got to invest in making sure the basic functions work.

  Scammers

  BEWARE! Scammers are on this app and eventbrite has no policy for preventing or reconciling it. I bought tickets for an event but when I got to the venue I was informed that the event was never organized. The only refund option is to reach out to the organizers, but because they were scammers they never responded or offered a refund. It is absurd that apparently anyone can set up a fake event and simply ghost the people that buy tickets. Eventbrite refused to take accountability and denied a refund. There is no live customer service agents to speak with.
