You buy less because you actually know what you have, and you eat what you bought because you remember it's there. Privacy. Your groceries are nobody else's business. No account, no cloud sync, no analytics, no ads. Everything lives on your phone with SwiftData. The only backup is the one you export yourself. What you can do Add a product with name, quantity, expiration date, category, and storage location (fridge or freezer). Track when you bought or cooked something to see how long it's been sitting there. Get a notification one day before anything expires, at the hour you pick. Stop finding moldy bread on a Saturday morning. Set per-category shelf life defaults so the expiration date fills in automatically. Pick "dairy" and the date jumps a week out. Pick "meat" and it goes two days out. Adjust the defaults to match how you actually shop. Filter and search your products. Sort by expiration date so the urgent stuff is at the top. Pin items you want to see first. Archive instead of delete. Mark items as "used" or "expired" so you can look back at what you actually finish versus what keeps going to waste. After a few weeks you start to see the pattern, and you stop buying the things you never get around to eating. Export your data to a JSON file and import it back.
