Meteric is a fast, native weather app: worldwide forecasts, air quality and Europe-wide weather warnings — plus national detail wherever it exists. In Slovakia: real station measurements, precipitation radar and official warnings from the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute (SHMÚ). In Czechia: the ČHMÚ radar. In the United States: NEXRAD radar and National Weather Service alerts. Across the rest of Europe: the EUMETNET OPERA radar composite with satellite lightning. Every value shows its source and the time it was measured, so you always know whether you're looking at a real measurement or a forecast. METERICCAST — THE NEXT HOUR OF RAIN (BETA) MetericCast is Meteric's own short-term precipitation nowcast, computed from the motion of the latest radar frames — now covering Slovakia (SHMÚ radar) and Czechia (ČHMÚ radar). It estimates when rain or snow will reach your exact location within the next hour and when it will ease off, and shows it on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island with a live countdown, in your widgets and on your Apple Watch. Anything from MetericCast is marked in orange so you can tell it apart from the standard forecast. FOUR RADARS, ONE SCREEN • Slovakia — SHMÚ composite: reflectivity, CAPPI 2 km, 1-hour rainfall, echo top, plus lightning • Czechia — ČHMÚ composite, with projected frames up to an hour ahead • Rest of Europe — EUMETNET OPERA composite with Meteosat lightning, also with projected frames • United States — the national NEXRAD mosaic Each with a scrubbable timeline, playback, adjustable opacity and 60 min, 2 h or full history. WHAT YOU GET • Current conditions from real measurements or forecast, each with its source and time • Hourly and multi-day forecast with interactive charts • Outdoor conditions: hour-by-hour ratings for running, cycling, walking, hiking, stargazing — and swimming at the coast — always telling you what's in the way • Sea state at the coast: water temperature, waves, the tide curve and when the water next turns • Weather warnings across Europe (MeteoAlarm), official SHMÚ warnings in Slovakia and National Weather Service alerts in the US — with a district-by-district map for Slovakia and Czechia • Air quality and pollen • Webcams: SHMÚ's own cameras in Slovakia, Windy's worldwide network with timelapse • Forecast maps and satellite imagery (Slovakia) • Sunrise, sunset and moon phase • Detailed metrics: wind and gusts, humidity, pressure, visibility, dew point, UV, cloud cover and layers, storm potential (CAPE), wet-bulb and ground temperature • Source comparison: station/ALADIN vs Open-Meteo, side by side • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a radar widget, and Apple Watch complications & Smart Stack MADE YOUR WAY • Casual or Advanced level of detail • Rearrange the cards on the main screen to suit you • °C/°F, m/s, km/h, knots or Beaufort, mm or inches, hPa/mmHg/inHg, 12- or 24-hour time • Light, dark or system theme • Save the places you check most • Available in Slovak, English, Czech, German, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian and Chinese Data sources: worldwide forecast, current conditions and air quality by Open-Meteo (ECMWF / ICON); European warnings by MeteoAlarm (EUMETNET), which republishes each country's own national weather service; in Slovakia observations, radar, lightning and warnings from SHMÚ open data; in Czechia the radar composite from ČHMÚ open data; elsewhere in Europe the EUMETNET OPERA composite and the Meteosat Third Generation Lightning Imager (EUMETSAT); in the United States NOAA / National Weather Service NEXRAD; webcams by Windy.com.
