New non-attorney applicants take a three-hour course and a test administered by an Ohio Secretary of State authorized provider. The published provider format is 30 multiple-choice questions, open book, with an 80 percent pass mark (24 of 30 correct) and immediate results. Providers do not publish a time limit, so the 50-minute mock timer in this app is our own practice discipline, not an official standard.
