Photo Buddy is your photo shoot planning and on-location shooting assistant for DSLR and mirrorless photography. Tell it what gear you have in your collection, and tell it what you are planning to shoot, and it will suggest what to put in your bag for that day.  Tell it what you're about to shoot, and Photo Buddy recommends the camera settings and equipment to use — right when you need it, with no signal required.

Photo Buddy only recommends from what's actually in your bag, so suggestions are always things you can act on immediately.
Describe the shot, get real settings Enter your subject, location, time of day, and weather, and Photo Buddy calculates aperture, shutter speed, and ISO recommendations tuned to your specific gear's capabilities — not generic presets. Add a subject distance and get a depth-of-field estimate too.

Snap a pre-shot photo: Not sure what to enter? Take a quick pre-shot photo with your iPhone, and Photo Buddy suggests lighting and time-of-day settings based on it, which you can adjust before getting your recommendation.
Plan your bag by describing your shoot Typing out what you're planning to photograph automatically suggests the right lenses, flash, and accessories to pack, adding to your existing picks rather than replacing them.

Release 1.0 contains:
* Ability to store the photo gear in your possession
* Ability to select items from your inventory for your bag
* Suggested bag based on your description of a photoshoot
* For obtaining the shot recommendation, you can either select the attributes of the shot (type, time of day, lighting conditions, subject movement, etc.) or you can take a cell photo pic and the app will try to determine those from the pic.  EXIF data from the phone camera informs the app for the recommendation.
* Shot recommendation (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focal length, autofocus type, metering type) is made based on the inputs
